This past week, it was reported that the HCPSS Ethics Panel had abruptly and unexpectedly been disbanded and that motions have been set in place to assemble a fresh Ethics Panel.

Over the past 8 months, there have been some serious email leaks coming from the HCPSS Board of Education. that have been extremely harmful to private citizens, to this past Fall’s redistricting process, and to the personal and professional livelihood of fellow Board members and their families.
Montgomery County School System (MCPS) elementary students are able to receive approximately 30-60 minutes of live-streamed teacher/classroom instruction daily. At this time, HCPSS formally plans on only 15-20 minutes per week of live “check-in” with teachers & classmates for their elementary students.
Remember the time when two HCPSS Board of Education members held a private text message conversation to discuss redistricting strategy during a public Board meeting as crucial decisions on the Fall 2019 HCPSS redistricting plan were made? Ever wonder if there was something illegal about that?
