I am the father of four young children, husband of a teacher, and a career firefighter paramedic. Previously I served as an elected Board of Education representative in NJ. I collaboratively created nationally recognized schools and built new facilities without raising property taxes. In 2018 my advocacy led Governor Hogan to have me testify before the Maryland State Senate regarding an independent public school watchdog. My involvement in our school system is not limited to any single issue. I am a trusted public servant and community advocate who, for 20 years, has worked to improve public schools and government.
